A fractional CPO, or part-time CPO, is an experienced product leader who works inside your company 1 to 3 days a week. They own the product vision, prioritize the roadmap, run the rituals and connect the CEO, tech and business, like a full-time CPO, without the cost or the commitment of a hire. It is also called a part-time CPO or an outsourced CPO.

A permanent CPO is fully dedicated to your company, which makes sense when the product carries a team of several PMs and a roadmap spanning several years. A fractional CPO brings the same expertise on a number of days matched to your stage. When the need becomes lasting, we also support you on hiring a permanent CPO.

The rate for a CO-CPO fractional CPO is based on a day rate between €800 and €1,500 depending on the profile and the scope. The number of days per week is defined together based on your needs. For comparison, a permanent CPO package ranges between €73,000 and €150,000 gross per year in 2026.

Seed and early-stage startups where the CEO still carries the product, scale-ups whose product team is growing faster than its processes, and mid-sized companies with a digital product but no real product leadership.
